Melissa has been signed by a new dance record label, KMD Records and they asked me to come up with some images for her first single, as well as some straight head shots.  As you can see it’s not as if I didn’t have good material to work with, she is gorgeous!

I’m not sure when her single is out but I’ll be sure to let you know (I don’t really think I’m the target market) and hopefully I’ll have some other KMD artists coming my way.

And just to prove that she can smile:

Happy Mother’s Day

Talking of busy I know my blog has been quiet lately but I certainly have not been.  This part of the year is a marketing frenzy.  It’s all about making and developing contacts and sourcing and pricing of new products.  All of which I have done.  This week I have a maternity session to shoot in Bristol – see, I get around.  A 20th wedding anniversary party and a family shoot both more locally.  Added to that I also have a promotion with a gorgeous childrens clothes shop coming up and new products to tell you about, but I’ll leave that till another time.

Since no post is complete without an image, may I present Mojojojo.

He was one of the kittens born here last May who went to live with my friend Amy.  Now Amy was a naughty person as she lives in a flat that does not allow animals.  Well he lasted 8 months without being spotted but spotted he was and I’m not surprised cos he’s huge.  So to cut to the chase Mojojojo has come back for an extended holiday or at least until Amy gets a new flat in the summer.  I took some pictures of him before he went and thought it would be fun to compare the ‘now’ and ‘then’ angle.  Compared to how he looked as a kitten he’s more lion now than pussycat and feeling at home and content in his new lodgings.

Amy Mills - I love Mojojojo!!! Happy ratting – where ever you are little monkey!

Valerie Worwood is a very successful author and business woman.  Her shop, Earth Garden in Romford, is where we met up in order for me to take some pictures of her for an article about her and her speciality of aromatherapy and essential oils.  She is advising the Chinese government on this subject as it is relatively new to their culture of alternative medicine with a lot of their treatments being animal based products.  After spending some time in China she did interviews on chinese tv and with a magazine that is part of the Conde Nast Group.  It was only after her return that they realised they had no pictures of her, so this is where I stepped in to help.

The shop smelled gorgeous and I warmed to Valerie straight away.  She wanted a variety of shots showing her as an author, scientist and just looking glamourous!  We got what we wanted and I’m looking forward to seeing my images in the magazine even if I won’t understand a word of it.  Let’s face it – it’s probably the closest I’m going to get to Vogue Magazine.

For more information about Valerie’s many books on aromatherapy and essential oils just go to Amazon and type in her name.  For treatments contact the shop on 01708 722633.
